Year 4

Welcome to Year 4!

Every single one of you have been so amazing throughout your home learning, it has been an absolute pleasure reading all of your emails and seeing how well you have worked.

Below are a few reminders about coming back to school as lockdown 3 ends.

Home Learning Packs

Please bring in your home learning pack and everything that you have worked on during your home learning.

Please also bring in your reading book and homework diary every day, as well as a water bottle and packed lunch if necessary. You should only need to bring in a small carrier bag in order to bring these things in. We are trying to limit the amount of things that need to be taken between home and school.

PE

Please remember to come to school wearing appropriate PE kit on our designated PE days, Monday and Friday. PE kits includes plain black/dark jogging bottoms or shorts, a white PE t-shirt (a school logo if you choose), a plain dark or school hoodie and appropriate footwear.

Snacks

You may want to consider bringing 2 healthy snacks to help with getting back into the routine of a full school day. Please note that Key Stage 2 children are not offered snacks by school.

Homework

Please remember that there is no homework for the remainder of this half term, however you are expected to continue to read every day, and practice spellings as well as times tables.

Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns,

Welcome to the Wonders of Year 4

As we approach the winter months, the weather gets colder but in Year 4 we are still buzzing with activity and keeping our brains nice and active and warm!

Remember, you do not need to bring too much to school each day - we are trying to minimize what we transfer between home and school as much as possible, so your pencil case should always stay in school! All you need to bring each day is:

  • A Water Bottle (Named)
  • Homework Diary
  • Reading Book
  • Packed Lunch (if necessary)

If possible, please keep these items in a folder - you do not need to bring a big rucksack.

Our PE days are Monday and Friday, so please come to school wearing your PE kit on these days, wearing warmer clothing as the days get colder.

As we need to keep the classroom ventilated, it may be an idea that you wear extra layers as well as bringing your coat every day!

We love choosing our Secret Student each day, where this special student walks away with a certificate at the end of the day if they manage to behave well and put effort into all of their work. Year 4 love this!

I am so excited to be teaching you this year again and can't wait for all of our amazing learning that we will be doing together!

Take care and if you have any problems or questions, please get in touch.
