The Pupil Premium Grant is government funding which aims to support disadvantaged pupils in making good progress and succeeding alongside their peers. This funding may be deployed in a number of ways to enable the school to secure positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable children in our school. Mrs Vavasour leads on Pupil Premium provision and all staff understand that each child receiving Pupil Premium will benefit from additional support. 

We take the view that good practice for vulnerable children can also influence good practice for all, so we use evidence-based research such as the Education Endowment Foundation findings, and our own tried and tested approaches to meet the ever-changing needs of children. Since the pandemic there has been a significant increase in families who reach out for additional support and help and we want to do all we can to give their children a great start at Knightlow. If you think your child may be eligible for Pupil Premium funding please speak to one of the office team who will handle your query in confidence, or speak to the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher or one of our SENDCos (Mrs. Duckett or Mrs. Maher) who will be happy to advise you.
