Year 4

Welcome to Year 4!

Spring Term 2017

Year 4 have had an excellent start to the Spring term, and have come back from their Christmas break full of enthusiasm! We have an exciting term ahead including bug hunting in forest school and creating our very own clay landmarks!smiley

Below are a few snapshots of our learning...

The Spring Term is here.

This half term our topic is 'Britain from the Air' where Year 4 will have the opportunity to develop map skills and their knowledge of the natural world. The children will also explore what places are like in their locality, how people preserve places of special interest and how the Victorians changed Britain's landscape.

Things to note:

  • PE is on Thursday and Friday. Please could you ensure that children have correct PE kit in school and appropriate footwear. Children will need both indoor and outdoor kits.
  • Maths and English homework will be sent home on a Friday and is due in the following Wednesday.
  • Spellings will be sent home on a Wednesday to be tested the following Tuesday. Alongside homework, the children are asked to write sentences for their spellings.
  • As well as homework each week, it would be much appreciated if you could practise times tables with your children. The children have worked very hard on their 3, 4 and 6 times tables the past term and the effort is evident! Thank you for your support at home.

Thank you for your continuing support. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
