Easter Celebrations
We thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic Easter celebration at Knightlow. Our Year 6s led a wonderful service at All Saints Church, retelling the happenings of Holy Week by revealing symbols that were hidden inside each egg. The singing was absolutely spectacular, as usual, with soaring harmonies, call and response verses and beautiful soloists. A real highlight was the magnificent Makaton Choir, who led the school in signing Here I Am To Worship. It was extremely moving to see the children respond so empathetically to the story and to sense the joy in our singing of Easter Jubilation at the end.
We then enjoyed a fantastic Easter Bonnet Parade at the end of the week, with a wonderfully colourful array of bonnets in our special assembly for parents. The imagination and creativity displayed through the bonnet competition and the egg-pun competition was incredible to see and Mrs Paget (one of our Governors) had the unenviable task of choosing our winners.
Thank you to the PTA for supplying the prizes and for serving refreshments to all of our parent visitors.
Happy Easter everyone!
