Parents' Forum

What is the Knightlow Parents’ Forum?

The Parents’ forum exists to improve communication links between parents and Governors in order to support and promote pupils learning.  It considers policies presented by the Governing Body and provide feedback from a parental viewpoint. It is a forum for parents to raise whole school issues for discussion and consideration by the Governing Body and the Head Teacher in future school improvement planning and to find ways for all parents to engage with the school to enable parents to support their child’s learning and progress.

The Parents’ Forum has an advisory and consultative role. It is not the channel for individual complaints and issues – these should be raised with the class or head teacher as appropriate.

The parents’ forum typically meets 3 to 4 times a year and all parents & Carers of pupils at Knightlow School are welcome. Agendas are published in advance on the notice board and in the newsletter.

The parents’ forum has in the past considered school policies, completed questionnaires on parent engagement and produced the Parents’ Handbook (updated every year) which is available on this website and provides useful information for all parents.

If you would like any more details on the parents forum and upcoming meetings then please talk to the Parent Governors: Rob Hoyle or Jody Scuffle. We are both regularly in the school at start & finish times. Alternatively you can email us at:
